For the role you will lead water and wastewater system designs for construction projects, provide technical support, and align operational and maintenance programs across all sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide critical support by leveraging expert knowledge of each site's UPW/WWT systems' operational and maintenance capabilities.
- Lead the design of UPW/WWT systems for construction projects.
- Offer site/regional support for global facility initiatives in addition to your global water engineering role.
- Technically lead a global cross-functional team focused on achieving operational excellence with site systems engineers.
- Support all sites, including on-site presence during critical failures.
- Actively participate in TPM implementation and alignment, providing ongoing support.
- Enhance the quality of utilities through variation reduction (SPC).
- Align common methodologies across the network, including SPC, conformance, SIPP's, MOC, and 8D problem-solving.
- Identify and implement cost reduction efforts while optimizing and reducing energy usage for UPW/WWT systems across the network.
- Ensure effective and consistent PM and predictive maintenance programs, procedures, and checklists across the network.
- Maintain regular communication with site engineering and O&M teams regarding status and performance.
- Analyze and benchmark equipment performance.
- Develop and implement training and certification programs to support global and site efforts.
- Create metrics to drive improvement (e.g., on-time PMs, MTTF, MTTR).
- Send regular updates highlighting key focus areas and initiatives.
- Review FIPA/METS events and provide recommendations to reduce critical impact events.
- Collaborate with the construction/engineering team to ensure project alignment.
- Review site sustaining capital requests in collaboration with construction/engineering.
- Support the network's efforts to implement, monitor, and drive continuous improvement for Micron's Sustainability programs in alignment with long-term sustainability strategies.
- Benchmark system performance and drive a Best-In-Class approach across the network.
- Provide technical advice and support to overcome challenges and roadblocks in project planning and execution.
- Support sustainability project achievement data acquisition and validation in a central tracking depository.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Proven teamwork and collaboration skills with internal and external groups.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems across multi-functional and multi-cultural groups within and outside facilities.
