Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to join the team in New Orleans, Louisiana. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing geotechnical projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects, including site investigations, design, and construction support.
- Coordinate and supervise field activities, including soil sampling, drilling, and testing.
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports, proposals, and technical documents.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor project progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve any issues that arise.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Foster and maintain client relationships, and contribute to business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana or the ability to obtain one within six months.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on project management.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical investigation techniques, soil mechanics, and foundation design.
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and modeling tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
