We are partnered with a leading firm in the US who are looking for a Project Manager to lead their business critical projects. They are dominating multiple geotechnical markets including Commercial, Environmental, TxDOT & Transportation and Oil & Gas. They are experiencing huge growth in their Houston office and are expecting to grow their headcount in the Houston office by 50% this year!
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project team members, maintaining open communication and providing regular project updates.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established goals and milestones.
- Coordinate and oversee field investigations, laboratory testing, and data analysis to assess subsurface conditions and inform engineering design.
- Conduct geotechnical analysis and design, including foundation design, slope stability analysis, and earth retention systems.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations summarizing project findings, recommendations, and conclusions.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including structural engineers, environmental specialists, and regulatory agencies, to ensure project success and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing projects of varying scale and complexity.
- Proven project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, manage resources, and mitigate risks effectively.
- Strong technical expertise in geotechnical analysis and design, with proficiency in relevant software tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment and build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a commitment to mentoring and developing junior staff members.
