Job Summary:As the Geotechnical Branch Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the geotechnical engineering operations in the Houston branch. This includes project management, business development, team leadership, and ensuring the delivery of top-notch services to clients. You will play a key role in driving business growth, maintaining client relationships, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership:
- Provide strong leadership to the geotechnical engineering team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Mentor and develop staff, promoting professional growth and ensuring a high level of technical expertise within the team.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the successful execution of geotechnical projects from initiation to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed client expectations.
- Collaborate with project teams to address technical challenges and provide guidance.
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Houston market.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with the business development team to prepare proposals, attend client meetings, and participate in networking events.
- Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the highest standard of geotechnical engineering services.
- Review and approve project deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of project management and team leadership.
- Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
