Position Overview: Our client is looking for a dynamic and visionary Forensic Structural Engineer to join their team as the Regional Lead for Northern California. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing forensic structural engineering projects, leading a team of engineers, and driving the expansion of their services in the region. You will play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of forensic structural engineers and technical staff.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the firm's presence in Northern California.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Project Management:
- Oversee and manage forensic structural engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct detailed structural investigations and assessments of buildings and infrastructure.
- Prepare comprehensive forensic reports and provide expert testimony as needed.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the client base in Northern California.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
Technical Expertise:
- Utilize advanced forensic engineering techniques to analyze structural failures and defects.
- Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team and clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in forensic structural engineering.
- Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams.
- Strong business development and client relationship skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
