Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Forensic Structural Engineer with a strong background in repair design to join our team in Denver. The ideal candidate will be adept at analyzing structural failures and developing effective repair strategies that meet industry standards and client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct forensic investigations to assess structural failures in buildings, bridges, and other infrastructures.
- Perform comprehensive analyses of structural systems and materials, identifying failure causes and contributing factors.
- Develop detailed repair design plans and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Prepare thorough reports documenting findings, repair recommendations, and project scopes.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and legal professionals to provide insights on repair strategies and structural integrity.
- Present technical findings and repair designs to clients and stakeholders in a clear, understandable manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to structural repair and forensic analysis.
- Assist in project management, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of repair solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on forensic analysis and repair design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and design tools.
