My client is looking for a highly skilled Forensic Structural Engineer to join their team in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with significant experience in forensic investigations. This role involves conducting detailed analyses of structural failures, preparing comprehensive reports, and providing expert testimony in legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigation: Conduct in-depth forensic investigations of structural failures and other related issues.
Analysis: Utilize advanced engineering software and techniques to analyze structural failures and determine root causes.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports outlining investigation findings, methodologies, and recommendations for remediation.
Expert Testimony: Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings related to structural failures.
Client Interaction: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, communicate findings, and provide expert advice.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all investigations and reports adhere to industry standards and best practices.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 5 years in forensic investigations.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license required; additional certifications in forensic engineering or related areas are a plus.
