A 100% employee-owned consulting firm specializing in forensic engineering is seeking a mid to senior-level Electrical Engineer to join their Houston office. With a commitment to innovation and customer-focused solutions, the firm provides top-tier service across MEP, Structural, and Civil engineering, catering to insurance adjusters, legal clients, and corporations.
This role involves performing field investigations and failure analyses on electrical systems and equipment, such as lighting, fire protection, and data/communication systems, across residential, industrial, commercial, and municipal sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate failures and damages of electrical systems caused by natural or human factors.
- Review and evaluate designs and documentation.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations to inform forensic findings.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Deliver clear, detailed reports.
Qualifications:
- PE license in Texas
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in electrical design or related fields.
- Expertise in building and construction codes and electrical systems.
- Field and on-site experience.
- Existing client base and business development experience (preferred).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Expert witness testimony experience.
- Willingness to travel as required.
