Job Description: Fire Systems Designer
Location: Johor, Malaysia
We are currently seeking an Fire Systems Designer in Johor. As a Fire Systems Designer, you will be responsible for leading and managing fire protection projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices. Your primary goal will be to develop innovative fire protection solutions and strategies that enhance safety and protect lives and property.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage fire protection engineering projects and provide technical guidance.
- Design and Analysis: Develop and review fire protection system designs, including fire suppression systems, fire alarms, and smoke control systems, using advanced engineering principles and software tools. Conduct complex fire hazard assessments and analyze building plans to identify potential risks and develop effective fire protection strategies.
- Code Compliance: Stay updated on national, and international fire protection codes, regulations, and standards. Ensure that all fire protection system designs and installations comply with the relevant codes and standards.
- Technical Expertise: Provide expert advice and guidance on fire protection engineering matters to clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Participate in design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate fire protection systems into building designs.
- System Testing and Inspection: Oversee and conduct advanced tests and inspections on fire protection systems to ensure their proper functioning and compliance with regulations. Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Research and Development: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in fire protection engineering technologies, practices, and materials. Conduct research and development activities to enhance fire protection solutions and contribute to industry knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire protection engineering, including designing and implementing fire protection systems.
- In-depth knowledge of fire protection codes, regulations, and standards, especially those applicable in Malaysia.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Data center experience will be a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovative and practical solutions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
