Estimator-Special Systems - Permanent Remote Position
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled Estimator in Special Systems with expertise in structured cabling and low voltage systems, particularly within the rail/transit sector. This role offers the chance to work on significant projects related to rail or water/wastewater infrastructure from anywhere as it is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Evaluate data such as site surveys/reports and other documentation impacting costs estimation process
- Liaise with contractors, vendors & stakeholders offering technical advice ensuring efficient progress through all stages of planning up till execution based around construction norms at San Jose although working remotely .
Necessary Skills:
- Structured Cabling : An understanding of designing network cable layouts that optimize performance.
-Low Voltage Experience: Expertise required especially estimating equipment requiring lower energy consumption yet effective operational output specifically concerning security/surveillance systems etc. -Rail Project Involvement / Water/Wastewater Projects Knowledge: Experience dealing directly managing these types high profile infrastructural developments would be beneficial making sure there's alignment between envisioned vs practical aspect engineering works being undertaken.
