They specialize within commercial, industrial, and design-build construction and have a main focus within the tilt wall/self storage space in the Midwest for the next coming months.
Job Description: The Traveling Construction Superintendent will oversee the construction of self-storage projects from inception to completion. This role requires extensive travel to various project sites nationwide. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing self-storage construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of self-storage construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and budgets.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers.
- Travel extensively to various project sites across the country.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on self-storage or tilt wall projects.
- Experience on projects over $15M
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in various locations.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
