Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with Japanese regulations and international standards.
- Prepare detailed EIA reports, including environmental baseline studies, impact assessments, and mitigation plans.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project approvals and ensure smooth communication.
- Provide expert advice on environmental policies, regulations, and best practices to clients and project teams.
- Conduct site visits and field surveys to gather data and assess environmental conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and design.
- Monitor and report on the environmental performance of projects during construction and operation phases.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in environmental regulations and renewable energy technologies.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in conducting Environmental Impact Assessments, preferably in the renewable energy sector or offshore sector.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese environmental regulations and international EIA standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with international consultancy firms.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies and projects in Japan.
- Professional certifications in environmental management or related fields.
