Engineering Manager - Water & Wastewater
The Opportunity
They are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the execution of the engineering components for multiple water and wastewater projects, including advanced treatment facilities, underground conveyance, and carbon-neutral solutions. This role provides the opportunity to:
- Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians on high-profile municipal projects.
- Supervise and mentor engineering staff while fostering professional development opportunities.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and client correspondence to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution:
- Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple or large-scale projects.
- Conduct research and develop equipment and material recommendations.
- Manage data, perform complex engineering calculations, and ensure high-quality project outcomes.
- Develop and oversee project budgets, schedules, and deliverables across multiple disciplines.
- Lead larger production teams, coordinate multi-discipline activities, and serve as the responsible charge for project execution.
Technical Expertise:
- Lead large multi-discipline teams to meet project deliverables.
- Provide technical leadership for complex water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Drive innovative solutions to achieve project goals.
Management Responsibilities:
- Supervise and review work performed by team members.
- Oversee hiring, discipline, and pay administration for subordinates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Prior engineering consulting experience.
- Experience in executing multi-discipline wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) upgrades and expansion projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
- At least 8 years of related work experience.
- Must complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle records search, as applicable.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Typical office environment with a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days remote).
- Ability to perform extended periods of sitting, standing, and computer usage.
- Comfortable using video/audio conferencing software for communication.
