About the Role: My client is seeking a highly experienced Engineering Manager to join their leading team in the industry. This pivotal role involves overseeing various design functions to ensure that client requirements and the needs of their Construction and Production teams are met with precision and excellence. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the successful execution of design projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget, while adhering to company standards, client expectations, and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of design projects from concept to completion.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards, with appropriate risk management.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to align design activities with overall project milestones.
- Conduct project completion reviews to assess performance against baselines and customer needs, providing insights to other teams.
- Review and approve design plans, specifications, and engineering calculations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices in design engineering.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance design capabilities and project outcomes.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide design solutions that meet their project objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of design engineers and specialists.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging team members to share ideas and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline.
- CPEng, including RPEV and RPEQ certification, is required.
- At least 15 years of experience in design engineering, with over 5 years in a leadership role, working on design and construction projects in the Water industry.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal legislation relating to the water industry.
- Expertise in designing documentation to technical requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to infrastructure design.
- Proficient in project management methodologies to ensure efficient project execution.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management to oversee project costs effectively.
