Energy Optimization Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Energy Optimization Specialist to join our team. This role will focus on identifying and implementing energy cost-saving opportunities within data centers, infrastructure, network systems, power infrastructure, and cooling systems. As part of the energy optimization team, you will collaborate with field services teams to document findings, assess energy usage, and propose cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed analysis of energy usage across data centers, network infrastructure, power, and cooling systems.
- Identify opportunities to optimize energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Work closely with field services teams to document energy consumption patterns and optimization opportunities.
- Propose actionable strategies to lower energy consumption and achieve utility savings.
- Provide expertise on telecom facilities, focusing on energy-saving solutions within telecom infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain sustainable energy practices aligned with overall energy management goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability and energy-saving initiatives within existing operations.
- Stay current on industry trends and technological advancements in energy optimization and sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in energy optimization, with a strong background in technical energy systems.
- Knowledge of data centers, network infrastructure, power, and cooling systems.
- Telecom background or experience in energy optimization within telecom facilities is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of utility savings strategies and their implementation.
- Experience coordinating and collaborating with field services teams.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in energy management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with energy management software and tools.
- Sustainability certifications (e.g., LEED, Energy Star, etc.).
