Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Energy Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing energy audits, identifying energy-saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct ASHRAE Level 1, 2, and 3 energy audits for commercial and residential buildings.
Analyze energy consumption data and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement energy efficiency measures and retrofit projects.
Ensure compliance with Local Law 87 by preparing and submitting Energy Efficiency Reports (EER).
Ensure compliance with Local Law 97 by developing strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Collaborate with building owners, facility managers, and other stakeholders to implement energy-saving initiatives.
Stay updated on the latest energy regulations, standards, and technologies.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy auditing and energy management.
Proficiency in energy modeling and analysis software.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building envelopes, and energy-consuming equipment.
Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and Local Laws 87 and 97.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
