Engineering Manager - Electrical Engineering (PE Required) - Hybrid | Alexandria, VA
My client, a nationally recognized and award-winning engineering and design firm, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead their Electrical Engineering Resource Group in Alexandria, VA. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to drive technical excellence, team leadership, quality assurance, and business development while working on cutting-edge projects in facility design, clean energy, and electrification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and professionals
- Oversee multi-discipline facility projects and clean energy/electrification initiatives
- Ensure quality control, document sealing, and project oversight
- Support business development efforts and client engagement
- Conduct field investigations, system assessments, and proposal development
- Serve as Engineer-of-Record, signing and sealing construction documents
- Drive team growth through recruiting, hiring, and leadership development
Qualifications:
- PE license required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Expertise in medium/low voltage power distribution, lighting controls, life safety, and specialty systems
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and state building codes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (AutoCAD/Revit experience is a plus)
- Strong leadership, business development, and client communication skills
