A prominent local Utility is hiring for either a Lead Electrical Engineer (or) a Senior Electrical Engineer based on candidates' qualifications. The job involves developing plans and specifications, performing analysis, and providing reports on tasks related to the design and construction of facilities or the operation and maintenance of existing facilities. This includes resolving equipment and operational problems, performing field investigations or inspections, conducting design work, and coordinating specific design aspects into projects.
Level of Responsibility: Responsibilities are varied and complex, often extending beyond assigned duties. The role requires advanced skills in multiple areas, resolving complex issues impacting business operations, and making significant decisions independently. Opinions hold weight in policy and strategy decisions.
Essential Functions:
- Establishing and updating engineering standards, policies, and guidelines
- Communication with regulatory bodies and government agencies
- Acting as a resource for less experienced members and directing technical complexities
- Leading and conducting assignments, serving as project or case manager
- Engaging with the public, developers, and stakeholders regarding engineering regulations
- Delivering technical presentations to various audiences
- Leading lower-level engineers and managing budgets, schedules, and resources for projects
- Reviewing and critiquing proposed changes to engineering standards
- Conducting surveys and interpreting schematics, drawings, and layouts
- Developing solutions based on thorough research and technical expertise
Requirements:
- Lead Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, 6 years related experience,Professional Engineer designation
- Senior Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or PE), 5 years related experience
