Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed designs and electrical drawings for 480 VAC systems, including motor branch circuits, power distribution, MCC design, and electrical equipment specifications.
- Work with hazardous area designs, adhering to Class I Div. 1 and Div. 2 code and design standards.
- Specify, wire, troubleshoot, and calibrate instruments as needed.
- Create schematics and design control system layouts, while guiding technicians in producing accurate drawings.
- Ensure compliance with NEC and relevant national, state, and local code standards.
- Support site activities for system checkout, installation, and start-up of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Compile and provide final system documentation and customer training.
- Manage electrical and control system integration projects for a variety of industries, including life sciences.
- Handle multiple projects, taking on roles like Technical Lead or Project Manager for smaller projects ranging from $50K to $250K. Duties include:
- Creating and executing project implementation plans.
- Assigning tasks to meet deadlines.
- Managing project scope and ensuring all stakeholders understand the company's responsibilities.
- Preparing project schedules for both internal and client requirements.
- Overseeing purchasing, subcontractor management, and cost proposals.
- Evaluating project progress and proposing changes as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Interest in pursuing a PE license is preferred.
Experience:
- Between 3 to 7 years of relevant experience, with expertise in the following areas:
- Development of electrical, instrumentation, and PLC control panel specifications.
- Design of electrical schematics for 480 VAC systems and below.
- Installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Knowledge of the NEC, hazardous area codes, and local regulations.
- Familiarity with construction, installation, and maintenance practices to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Experience with project documentation, using tools such as CAD, Excel, and Visual Manufacturing.
- Familiarity with cost estimation and management of electrical control systems.
- Experience in industries like Life Sciences, Building Automation, Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas, and Mining.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with PLC programming is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is desirable.
- Ability to travel up to 35% as needed.

- The role requires visual and auditory abilities, manual dexterity, and the capability to drive, lift, and perform tasks such as mounting and dismounting equipment.
Work Environment:
- The job will be performed in various environments, including standard office settings, on-site customer locations, and industrial settings. Frequent use of computers and other office equipment is expected.

Salary Range:
- The expected salary range is between $90,000 and $105,000 annually, depending on qualifications, plus discretionary bonuses and participation in the employee stock program.
