LVI Associates is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead the electrical aspects of our design-build projects for the built environment. Our projects include a wide range of large-scale infrastructure, life cycle cost-focused transformations to create energy sustainability, energy efficiency, and energy resilience. Each of our solutions is customized to client-specific needs, including renewable energy generation, battery energy storage systems, micro-grids, and central plant renovations. The Electrical Discipline Lead will work with a multidisciplined team to conceive solutions and drive those solutions through the design and construction delivery stages.

Your Role: As an Electrical Discipline Lead, you'll leverage your deep experience in energy systems to drive successful project delivery and technical innovation. Your expertise will guide the development of state-of-the-art electrical designs, including renewable energy, energy storage, microgrids, and more.
Responsibilities:
Conceive, design, and manage the delivery of electrical solutions supporting major infrastructure, including MEP system modernizations, central plant upgrades, on-site energy generation, energy efficiency initiatives, and resiliency improvements.
Support the technical development of new market opportunities, focusing on renewable energy, photovoltaics (PV), energy storage systems (BESS), and microgrids.
Provide technical oversight and guidance to engineering team members.
Augment internal expertise through oversight and direction of third-party consultants to achieve high-quality construction documents.
Support the life cycle costing of technical concepts by providing/assisting with internal construction cost estimates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design, construction, and operational strategies for energy projects.
Contribute to the successful development and implementation of energy solutions, including risk mitigation and cost management.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, supporting their growth in design principles, technical skills, and project execution. We are committed to developing the next generation of engineers within your team.
Ideal Candidate / Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, PE license required (advanced degree a plus).
8+ years of experience in electrical engineering and energy systems, including renewable energy, microgrids, electrical distribution, and lighting.
Strong understanding of National Electric Code (NEC) and building codes.
Experience with energy efficiency design engineering, including technical analysis and writing.
A passion for energy efficiency, alternative energy, and sustainability.
