Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, execution, and completion of various electric utility construction projects, including substations, transmission lines, electric systems for trains, and battery energy storage systems. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion.
- Support the development of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction activities and ensure quality control.
- Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project execution.
- Facilitate communication between project team members and stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on project status and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in project management or construction, preferably in the electric utility industry.
- Knowledge of substation construction, transmission lines, electric systems for trains, and battery energy storage systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
