Role Overview: Seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to design electric substations for high-voltage utility systems and renewable energy projects. Responsibilities include applying relevant codes and standards, producing steel structure and concrete foundation designs, and assisting with general arrangement and site plans. The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to meet project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design steel structures, concrete foundations, oil containment, metal grate platforms, and fire walls.
- Conduct structural analysis and document design calculations.
- Develop foundation layout plans and associated bill of materials.
- Assist with general arrangement, conduit, grounding, site plans, erosion control, and stormwater management.
- Provide technical support and coordinate with project team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in high voltage substation design.
- PE License in at least one US state.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, 3D Modeling, PLSCAD, LPILE, STAAD, or similar programs.
- Strong knowledge of industry trends and National Electrical Safety Code.
