Position: Drainage Engineer - Austin
Seeking a Transportation Drainage Engineer in Austin, TX. This role focuses on designing and implementing drainage solutions specifically for transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, roads, and railways. The ideal candidate will have expertise in stormwater management, hydrology, and the specific drainage needs of transportation systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting sustainable, efficient water management solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the efforts in preparing contract drainage drawings, specifications, and estimates, while also overseeing the creation of project-specific drainage/hydraulic reports and technical documentation
- Conduct cross drainage hydraulic analysis and design
- Conduct drainage analysis and design per the requirements of the project and transportation public agencies such as TxDOT
- Experience in utilizing Microstation, InRoads, and Revit
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Registered PE in Texas
- 5+ years of experience working working on transportation-related projects, specializing in drainage design, hydrological, and hydraulic analyses
