About the Role
As the Discipline Leader, you will spearhead efforts to build a thriving Water Resources team, focusing on areas like water design (storm, sanitary, hydrology) or site design. With strong support from our experienced engineers, you will lead business development, oversee projects, and mentor emerging talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Client and Business Development:
- Build and maintain client relationships with new and existing partners.
- Identify, pursue, and win work aligned with organizational goals.
- Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.
- Project Management:
- Manage diverse projects including stormwater management, urban drainage, floodplain analysis, and wetland restoration.
- Conduct hydrology studies and utility designs such as water mains and stormwater systems.
- Oversee scope, schedule, and budget to ensure client satisfaction.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and mentor team members to build a high-performing group.
- Coordinate with internal teams to allocate resources and support project delivery.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and entrepreneurial work environment.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
- Experience: At least 8 years in water resources, wastewater, or civil engineering, with demonstrated success in leadership roles.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of design standards such as AASHTO, MUTCD, WEF, APWA, and AWWA.
- Proficiency in tools like ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Innovyze Modeling Products, and CAD software.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities.
