We are working with a leading energy developer seeking an experienced Director of Development to drive power generation projects across key markets. This role will focus on the development of thermal power plants, supporting the company's expansion in reliable energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full lifecycle development of thermal power generation projects, from site selection and permitting to financing and construction.
- Navigate regulatory approvals, interconnection processes, and environmental permitting to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including utilities, government agencies, and financial partners.
- Evaluate market trends and identify strategic opportunities to expand the project pipeline.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, construction, and operations teams to advance projects to commercial operation.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in power project development, with a focus on thermal energy or conventional power generation.
- Strong background in site acquisition, permitting, and regulatory processes within the energy sector.
- Experience with data centers or energy infrastructure is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them through complex development milestones.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
