Seeking a Director of Water Infrastructure in Akron, Ohio
Our client, a prominent civil engineering company, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Water Infrastructure to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills as well as extensive technical knowledge related to wastewater treatment, pump stations, collection systems, stormwater and/or water resources.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Director of Water Infrastructure, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects related to hydraulic design projects that involve wastewater conveyance systems, treatment plants, pump stations and stormwater collection networks throughout Ohio. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Developing strategies aimed at improving service delivery across various departments
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards by monitoring project timelines and budgets effectively.
- Providing guidance on best practices within the industry while exploring innovative solutions where necessary
Qualifications & Skills Required:
The following qualifications/skills are required from candidates applying for this position;
1) Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Civil/Environmental Engineering or equivalent experience gained through professional associations such as ASCE.
2) Extensive work experience managing large-scale public works programs specifically relating to sewerage lines/pump stations/stormwater collections etc., preferably within municipal institutions.
3) Experience preparing proposals/bids/RFPs - excellent communication/negotiation abilities demonstrated via prior successful collaborations leading cross-functional teams towards common goals/objectives.
4)Licensed PE preferred - expertise creating detailed plans/blueprints/specification documents utilizing AutoCAD/Civil 3D software tools along with proficiency using modeling applications like SWMM/Hydraflow/SewerGEMS/etc.
