Job Title: Director of Transportation

Position Overview:
The Director of Transportation will oversee the planning, design, and execution of transportation infrastructure projects. This leader will play a key role in business development, project delivery, client management, and team leadership, contributing to the firm's continued success and growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to expand the transportation engineering practice in San Antonio and surrounding regions.
Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of transportation projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality excellence.
Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with public and private sector clients, including TxDOT, municipalities, and other agencies.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new project opportunities, lead proposal development, and participate in interviews to win work.
Technical Expertise: Provide oversight and guidance on complex transportation engineering projects, ensuring innovative and cost-effective solutions.
Team Development: Mentor and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development, and technical excellence.
Financial Management: Manage project budgets, forecast revenue, and contribute to the division's profitability goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
12+ years of experience in transportation engineering, including project management and leadership roles.
Proven experience working with TxDOT and other local agencies.
Strong technical expertise in transportation planning, design, and project delivery.
Demonstrated success in business development, client management, and growing a practice area.
