The Director of Structural Engineering will oversee the structural department, manage high-profile projects, and collaborate with other disciplines within the firm. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership on structural engineering projects across various sectors.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of structural engineers, fostering professional development and technical growth.
- Collaborate with in-house architects, civil engineers, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Engage in business development efforts, strengthening existing client relationships and pursuing new opportunities.
- Contribute to the firm's strategic growth, optimizing processes and expanding the structural engineering practice.
Qualifications:
- P.E. or S.E. license (California required)
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven ability to manage and mentor engineering teams
- Strong technical background in structural design, analysis, and construction methods
- Experience with commercial, institutional, and/or industrial projects
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple disciplines
- Business development experience and ability to cultivate client relationships is a plus
