Title: Development Engineer Level II
Location: Remote
Summary: This leader in commercial renewable energy with a national presence across the US is looking for a proficient and dedicated Development Engineer Level II to join the Development Engineering Team remotely. This company is responsible for working towards a more sustainable future through the deployment of renewable energy assets. In this senior role the Development Engineer will be responsible for interacting with clients, sales teams, project engineering, interconnection and finance.
The Development Engineer Level II will be responsible forโฆ
- Develop PV system layout to remit lowest project-specific levelized cost of energy (LCOE)
- Utilize programs such as Helioscope, SketchUp, SunDAT, AutoCad (Civil 3D preferred) to arrange site layouts
- Use PVsyst to assess solar production
- Reinforce utility interconnection and permit application processes
- Execute thorough site visits to gather required information to perform proper project due diligence
- Appear for company site walks along with other client meetings
The Development Engineer should have the following qualificationsโฆ
- Bachelor's Degree preferred- Electrical Engineering
- Experience in solar industry as Development Engineer
- Preferred basic knowledge of NEC
- Proficiency in Solar PV software modeling applications: Helioscope, Microsoft Excel, salesforce, PVsyst, AutoCad Civil 3D, SketchUp, and Sun DAT
- Background with production modeling with industry leading Independent Engineering interface for clients and/or
- Efficient analytical and problem-solving skills
