Development Associate - Renewable Energy
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Development Associate to join a leading clean energy company that is driving the transition to renewable energy. The company specializes in the development, ownership, and operation of solar generation, energy storage, and charging infrastructure across the United States. With a strong portfolio of assets and strategic partnerships with major industry players, this company is dedicated to creating impactful solutions for businesses and communities nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within cross-departmental teams to recommend and execute development activities, including interconnection, real estate, planning, and environmental matters.
- Support the negotiation and execution of complex renewable business transactions across multiple jurisdictions and energy markets.
- Coordinate and execute development activities related to real estate, interconnection, environmental issues, market programs, tariffs, and project redevelopment.
- Provide guidance on shaping transactions and project development, balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with teams to drive forward complex projects in the distributed energy industry.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, law, or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in renewable energy development.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and implementation skills.
- Proven negotiation experience and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
