We're seeking a full-time Design Engineer to join our team in Sarasota. This role involves designing structural systems for various construction projects across sectors like manufacturing, distribution, data centers, commercial, industrial, and parking.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Project Manager/Engineer of Record on project design, calculations, and assessment reports.
- Analyze existing structures.
- Create drawings and specifications for construction, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
- Assist in project coordination and meetings with team members.
- Review project submittals and shop drawings.
- Visit construction sites for observation and learning.
- Organize field data for analysis and problem-solving.
- Interact with senior engineers and design technicians.
- Attend client, architect, and contractor meetings.
- Learn to engage with potential clients to foster business relationships.
- Perform calculations according to design specifications and industry standards.
- Utilize Structural Design Software like RAM Structural Systems, ETBAS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements, and TEKLA.
- Share information across disciplines to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
Requirements: Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with 0-2 years of relevant experience or Master's in Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- EIT certification preferred.
