Position Summary:
As the Senior Project Manager and Department Head, you will take on a leadership role that combines managing high-profile roofing and waterproofing projects with overseeing a team of professionals. You will be responsible for the strategic direction of the department, managing client relationships, and ensuring that projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Department Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the roofing, building enclosure and waterproofing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, technically advanced solutions across all projects.
- Project Management: Lead roofing and waterproofing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that client objectives are met, and projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams, providing strategic guidance to ensure the successful execution of all projects.
- Design & Specification Oversight: Direct the design and specification of roofing systems, ensuring that all solutions are compliant with industry standards, local codes, and best practices.
- Team Development & Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and best practices within the department.
- Quality Control & Construction Administration: Oversee project administration, quality control, and contractor coordination, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Sustainable Solutions: Promote energy-efficient, sustainable roofing solutions that align with client goals for green building certifications and long-term cost savings.
- Innovation & Technology: Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies in roofing and waterproofing, including drone inspections and infrared moisture scanning, to improve project outcomes and delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field or extensive experience in lieu of qualification.
- 5+ years of experience managing roofing and waterproofing projects, with at least 2 years in a senior project management or leadership role.
- PE (Professional Engineer) license or equivalent certifications preferred or IIBEC credential .
- Deep knowledge of roofing systems, leak detection, project management, and energy-efficient solutions.
- Proven experience in leading teams, managing complex projects, and building strong client relationships.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
- Experience in departmental oversight, including budgeting, staffing, and strategic planning.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 annually (DOE)
- Annual Performance Bonus: Up to $15,000
