Delta V Control Engineer
Our team is looking for an experienced Delta V Control Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced control systems. The ideal candidate is skilled in PLC programming, motion control, and HMI/SCADA systems, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer/Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience designing, programming, and commissioning PLC systems.
- Proficiency in PLC and HMI systems, specifically Rockwell Automation and/or Siemens.
- Hands-on experience with VFDs and motion control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering tasks, calculations, programming, and configurations to design and implement control systems.
- Develop ladder logic and structured textPLC programs to control:
- Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic devices.
- Motor starters, VFDs, and servo motion control systems.
- Design and program HMIs, SCADA systems, custom data collection, and other information systems.
- Create electrical schematics and panel layouts using ePlan software.
- Design, document, and validate machine safety systems, including:
- Conducting risk assessments.
- Generating SISTEMA reports to validate safety categories and performance levels.
- Writing and executing safety validation plans and reports.
- Research and apply emerging technologies in motion control, Industrial IoT/Industry 4.0, and related fields to drive innovation.
- Commission, start up, and troubleshoot complex control systems both in-house and on client sites.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Familiarity with manufacturing information systems like Ignition or Wonderware.
- Experience with Ethernet/IP and other industrial networks.
- Proficiency in machine vision systems and data collection technologies, such as barcode scanning and RFID.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel is estimated at 20-25%.
