Position: Data Center Lead

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Data Center Lead to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center operations, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of data center infrastructure, including servers, networks, and telecommunications equipment.
- System Performance Monitoring: Ensure the efficiency and integrity of data center operations by monitoring system performance and implementing improvements.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Security Measures: Implement and maintain both physical and digital security measures to protect data center assets.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of the data center's layout, systems, and processes.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies or outages and implement disaster recovery protocols to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT staff, vendors, and other stakeholders to meet operational goals and ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
- Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: 7-10 years of experience in data center operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of network architecture, server hardware technologies, and data center management tools.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), or similar are highly desirable.
- Travel: Open to international travel, with the ability to travel up to 40%, specifically for data centers.
- Project Experience: Ideally, experience with large projects and new manufacturing site startups.
- Innovative Solutions: Proven ability to come up with creative and innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Multidisciplinary Experience: Clear experience in multiple disciplines, including Controls Engineering, Application Engineering, and Process Engineering.
