We have a current opportunity for a Data Analyst - Offshore Wind Project on a 1-year contract (renewable) basis. The position will be based in Changhua. For further information about this position please apply.
Responsibilities
1. Data Collection and Platform Support
- Act as the main contact for the project and engineering team to establish databases and platforms for analyzing operation and maintenance activities for the wind farm.
- Collect all wind farm operation data from project servers using SCADA and other software tools.
- Organize operation data and generate analysis reports to provide insights and recommendations for maintenance activities.
2. Report Generation and Team Collaboration
- Compile wind turbine operation data into daily, monthly, and annual reports for the wind farm, and assist in obtaining client approval for these reports.
- Share summarized wind turbine operation data with project teams to enhance their workflows and efficiency.
- Assist in developing and implementing data collection and summarization processes for wind farm operations and maintenance.
3. Client Support for Availability Figures
- Provide optimized monthly and annual availability figures based on contractually required calculation methods.
- Support the commercial team in negotiations with the client regarding data or information related to the project.
4. General Working Conditions
- Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional overtime as required by the project.
- The primary workplace is in Lukang, Changhua, with occasional business trips to Taichung or Taipei (low frequency).
- Work harmoniously in an international environment, with communication involving Taiwanese teams. International work experience is a plus.
Criteria
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other MS Office software.
- Ability to analyze large datasets using tools like MS Excel macros or other software (basic programming knowledge is acceptable).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as ST, C, and SQL is a plus.
- Educational background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Fluency in English and Chinese is required; ability to speak Japanese is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Data Analyst, Information Engineer, or Assistant Engineer is preferred.
