We are seeking a talented automation engineer to join our client's team in Tampa, Florida. The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement automated control systems for industrial processes. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated control systems for industrial processes using PLC programming, panel design, and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot software and hardware for automation control.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to create control systems that meet project requirements.
- Ensure all designs and systems adhere to UL508A standards.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of control systems, providing technical support as required.
- Train and support technicians and operators in using automated systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or industrial engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing automated control systems with PLC programming, panel design, and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Strong understanding and experience with UL508A standards.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and Profibus.
- Familiarity with HMI/SCADA systems and their programming.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in the Food and Beverage industry and Batch Systems is highly preferred.
