Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Technician to join our team for transportation engineering projects in the Peoria area. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the successful execution of construction activities, collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the inspection and monitoring of construction sites to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Conduct field surveys and collect data to support project development and documentation.
- Prepare daily reports and maintain accurate project records.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions on-site.
- Participate in safety meetings and enforce safety protocols on-site.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in construction or a related field, preferably in transportation engineering.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and safety practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Peoria area as needed.
