We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Manager / Estimator to oversee the planning, execution, and cost estimation for transmission line construction projects. This hybrid role combines both construction management and estimating responsibilities, ensuring that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in transmission line construction, with the ability to manage day-to-day operations on-site while also preparing accurate cost estimates for project proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction Management:

- Site Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that resources, equipment, and materials are available when needed and that work is performed efficiently.
Cost Estimation:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for transmission line construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs. Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work to determine accurate project costs.
- Bid Preparation: Support the development of competitive bids for new projects by preparing cost estimates, material take-offs, and budget forecasts. Collaborate with the procurement team to secure the best prices for materials and subcontractors.
- Budget Management: Work with project managers to track actual costs against estimates and ensure that projects are completed within budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions if necessary.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate project risks and uncertainties, including labor, material, and environmental costs. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and minimize cost overruns.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in transmission line construction.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in construction management, specifically in transmission line or utility infrastructure projects.
- At least 3 years of experience as an estimator, with a focus on transmission line projects, including material take-offs and cost forecasting.
- Proven experience managing both the field operations and estimating processes for large-scale EPC projects.
