About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Engineer Director to lead and direct our Construction Engineering and Inspection practice in the Ohio River Valley Region. This senior position involves managing division staff and operations across multiple states, including Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana, and Kentucky. The successful candidate will focus on client management, project development, and business development, primarily targeting public sector opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct the Construction Engineering and Inspection practice in the Ohio River Valley Region.
- Manage division staff and teaming operations across multiple states.
- Oversee client management and project development efforts.
- Drive business development focused on public (State and Municipal) opportunities.
- Evaluate project management plans for complex engineering projects.
- Develop risk mitigation plans to address project risks.
- Foster professional attitudes and staff development through mentoring and continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience developing business with public clients.
- Must be a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with the ability to be certified in WV, OH, KY, and IN.
- Experience in developing teams and proposals for submitting Letters of Interest (LOIs).
- Proficiency in construction scheduling software, primarily Primavera P6.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in advisory or consulting work for complex engineering projects.
