Project Manager - Commercial Solar Construction
Location: Richmond, Virginia (On-site, Full-time)
About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the execution of commercial solar construction projects. This position will be key to ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients, managing the coordination of all aspects of the project, from initial planning to final handover. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage commercial solar construction projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to project specifications.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of project tasks and milestones.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, making adjustments as needed to meet objectives.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with all on-site safety regulations and protocols.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify any issues, and ensure work meets quality standards.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
- Prepare and review all project documentation, including contracts, permits, technical specifications, and change orders.
- Foster strong working relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing commercial construction projects, ideally with a focus on solar energy systems.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, construction processes, and relevant industry standards.
- Ability to develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate and motivate diverse teams.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, protocols, and best practices in construction.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to review and understand contracts, permits, and technical specifications.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in solar energy project management or renewable energy construction is highly preferred.
- Relevant certifications in project management or construction are a plus (e.g., PMP, OSHA).
- Familiarity with project management software or tools.
