As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Materials Testing Department Manager to lead the CMT operations in the Dallas area.
Position Overview: The Construction Materials Testing Department Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of the CMT department in the Dallas office. This includes project management, technical leadership, staff development, client relations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality CMT services that meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide strong leadership to the CMT team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Mentor and develop staff, ensuring a high level of technical expertise and professional growth.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency within the CMT department.
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of CMT projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure technical excellence and adherence to industry best practices.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of CMT services.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and standards to continuously improve the quality of CMT services.
Client Relations:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring the successful delivery of CMT services.
- Collaborate with the business development team to identify and pursue new opportunities for CMT services.
Technical Expertise:
- Stay informed about the latest developments in construction materials testing, testing equipment, and methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance to staff and support continuous learning initiatives within the CMT department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Masters preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction materials testing.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas required.
- Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
