Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of experience in site design and permitting
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or eligibility for reciprocity in applicable states
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing project tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently while collaborating as needed
Responsibilities
- Engage in a range of residential, commercial, and public projects within a multidisciplinary civil engineering team
- Contribute to project design development, including engineering plans and documentation
- Manage and organize project information, ensuring proper record-keeping
- Assist with client interactions, budgeting, scheduling, and on-time project delivery
- Provide recommendations for design improvements and contribute to proposal development
- Oversee and coordinate design activities for complex projects requiring cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Communicate regularly with project teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost estimations
- Perform stormwater drainage analysis and generate technical reports
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to review and understand design concepts
- Participate in budget planning and quality control processes
- Support construction administration efforts, including reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs
