CEI Inspector - Lake City/Jacksonville
We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CEI Inspector for an exciting opportunity in the engineering sector based out of Lake City, Florida.
This role involves significant responsibilities where you will be at the forefront of overseeing and ensuring the quality and safety of large-scale transportation infrastructure projects. By joining our clients team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of crucial public works that greatly benefit the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform meticulous inspection and supervision of ongoing civil engineering projects, focusing primarily on transportation infrastructure. This will involve on-site assessments and active engagement with construction processes to ensure that all aspects of the project align with the high standards of structural integrity and safety.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating communication and coordination among various stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and government officials.
- Manage detailed documentation, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of inspections, testing outcomes, and progress reports. These documents are essential for ensuring transparency and adherence to all regulatory frameworks stipulated by FDOT guidelines.
Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years experience working in construction engineering & inspection
- Has worked on Florida Department of Transportation and local municipal projects across district 1 and 5
- Holds all standard CTQP & FDOT certifications expected of a CEI Inspector
