Position Title: Business Relationship Manager
Department: Business Development
Reports To: Managing Director
Location: Melbourne, Wagga Wagga, or Sydney
Work Environment: Hybrid (Office and Work from Home)
Role Overview: The Business Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a business partnering strategy, as well as fostering strong client relationships. This role will also contribute to solution development and financial product strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the solar, BESS, Microgrid, and EV charger markets, including partnerships and joint ventures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of potential clients, including councils, property developers, and commercial entities with multiple sites.
- Research and analyze market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop Solar PPA projects and explain the PPA mechanism to clients.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their energy needs.
- Conduct presentations and meetings to promote renewable solutions and services.
- Prepare proposals and tender requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Negotiate contract terms to secure new business deals.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Contribute to the marketing strategy by developing promotional materials and campaigns.
- Work with internal stakeholders to provide pricing and financial models to clients.
- Ensure the highest level of customer and partner satisfaction.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience.
- Demonstrated client focus and satisfaction by building effective relationships and exceeding client expectations.
- Self-starter with the ability to explore and qualify opportunities independently.
- Proven track record in sales channel development and managing B2B pipelines.
- Ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders.
- Experience presenting complex technical solutions to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships from cold calls.
- Deep understanding of the energy industry.
- Experience in renewable product sales is advantageous.
- A strong business network is highly favored.
- Experience with commercial tenders is highly favored.
