Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. This role involves managing sales and account relationships, engaging with both new and existing clients, and understanding market needs. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and senior management to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through regular interactions with potential clients and thorough market analysis.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Contribute to long-term business profitability through innovative thinking and proactive sales activities.
- Conduct cost comparison studies to evaluate our client's services against competitors.
- Provide regular reports to the Head of Commercial and/or Management as required.
- Initiate and conduct regular business reviews with clients as part of our client's customer retention and continuous improvement programs.
- Handle all sales inquiries, prepare sales quotations/proposals, follow up on new sales leads, and manage tenders and RFQs.
- Ensure compliance with legal and company policies and procedures, and undertake disciplinary actions if necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics solutions with a proven track record of business growth.
- Must have experience and knowledge in contract logistics.
- Strong business acumen and ability to develop long-term partnerships with clients and partners.
- Experience in leading a team or holding a business development role in the relevant industry.
- Ability to generate sales leads in the relevant industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
