The Opportunity:

Responsibilities:
- Conducting field assessments and preparing project deliverables, including proposals, reports, technical specifications, and repair details of different roofing systems.
- Overseeing various aspects of projects, such as project schedule, deliverables, fees, and invoicing, and providing direct assistance to ensure timely project execution.
- Productively interacting with client representatives and subcontractors.
- Collaborating with the team to develop practical recommendations for clients.
- Enhancing the visibility of expertise through participation in professional organizations.
- Working with junior staff to perform day-to-day project tasks.
- Contributing to company-wide objectives through involvement in office and company development activities.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in the design, construction, investigation, and development of technical reports and repair project documents of various new and existing building enclosure systems.
- A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Building Science, or a related field.
- Technical experience in detailing various building enclosure elements and interfaces between different systems such as facades, curtain walls, fenestration's, glazing systems, sealants and coatings, insulation, air barriers, weather barriers, cladding assemblies, low-slope roofing, steep-slope roofing, below-grade waterproofing, and plaza/terrace waterproofing.
- Excellent technical, written, graphical, and verbal communication skills.
- Registered Architect (RA), Professional Engineer (PE), IIBEC Registered Building Enclosure Consultant (RBEC), or Certified Building Enclosure Commissioning Provider (CBECxP).
- Ability to work efficiently and organized, independently and with a team, with a desire for continuous learning.
- Ability to learn new concepts and adapt to challenges.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely use and operate ladders, stairs, scaffolds, lifts, and other equipment to access roofs and go inside existing or under-construction buildings to record necessary field data.
- Ability to travel and attend meetings at various office, field, and construction sites.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work from heights, work in tight spaces, and work in inclement weather.
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends on an as-needed basis.
- Medically fit to use a respiratory protective device and other personal protective equipment.
- Ability to drive and safely operate a motor vehicle.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous consulting firm experience.
- Experience with building science and performance evaluation, including condensation control, ventilation, and moisture vapor movement.
