Role Overview:
The company are seeking an architect or engineering associate experienced in using performance modeling software, particularly THERM and WUFI. The selected candidate will collaborate with a team of architects and engineers within our building envelope practice, focusing on areas such as new design reviews, building envelope restoration, field observations, and enclosure consulting.
The Building Enclosure Consultant will be responsible for:
- Lead technical project execution, including investigation, troubleshooting, and detailing of building envelope systems.
- Oversee fieldwork and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams as the subject-matter expert.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables and provide reviews of work by others.
- Manage project scoping, team assembly, schedules, budgets, and client expectations
- Develop client relationships and contribute to business growth.
- Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Enhance the firm's profile through participation in professional organisations, conferences, and technical committees.
The Building Enclosure Consultant should have the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Building Envelope systems or related field
- Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Science Bachelor's Degree preferred
- IIBEC Credentials preferred
- Familiarity with various materials including air barriers, insulation, sealants and coatings, glazing systems, fenestrations, curtain walls, facades, cladding assemblies, low-slope roofing, steep-slope roofing, below-grade waterproofing, plaza/terrace waterproofing, traffic coatings, green roofs, building science, and more
