Position Overview: As a Bridge Technical Lead, you will leverage your extensive bridge design experience and expertise in TDOT projects to lead and oversee the delivery of complex bridge engineering projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of design and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage bridge design projects, ensuring compliance with TDOT standards and requirements.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Perform advanced structural analysis and develop innovative design solutions.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting their professional growth and development.
Participate in project meetings, site visits, and inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and project timelines.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in bridge engineering.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee, or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
10-20 years of experience in bridge design and engineering, with at least 4 years of experience on TDOT projects.
Proficiency in structural analysis software and bridge design tools (Microstation, LEAPbridge, CSI Bridge, etc.)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
