About the Role: Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced BESS Construction Manager to join their team. In this role, you will oversee and manage high voltage (HV) and extra high voltage (EHV) battery energy storage system (BESS) construction projects from start to finish. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with local regulations, safety, and quality standards. This position involves coordinating activities across multiple departments, supervising contractors, and liaising with clients and engineers to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with engineers and contractors to define project scope and specifications.
- Monitor financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Enforce safety standards and conduct regular site inspections.
- Ensure compliance with Japanese laws, regulations, and construction codes.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Provide regular project status updates and resolve client concerns.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and prepare progress reports.
- Oversee project deliverables, handover, and post-construction reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Construction Manager or similar role in the renewable industry in Japan.
- Fluency in Japanese language
- Nice to have any license such as First Class Construction Management Japanese License, Construction Safety Certification, etc.
