Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated AV Field Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio-visual systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role requires excellent technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and test AV systems, including projectors, displays, sound systems, control systems, and video conferencing equipment.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of AV systems to ensure optimal performance. Address and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Client Interaction: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored AV solutions. Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and professional service.
- Project Management: Assist in planning and executing AV projects from start to finish. Coordinate with other team members and external vendors to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Training & Support: Provide training and technical support to clients and end-users on the operation of AV systems. Create and maintain documentation for installed systems.
- Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and create detailed reports and recommendations.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in AV installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Education: Associate degree or higher in a related field (e.g., Electronics, Audio Engineering, Information Technology) or equivalent experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with AV systems and components, including projectors, displays, sound systems, control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX), and video conferencing equipment (e.g., Polycom, Cisco).
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I) are a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer Focus: Ability to work effectively with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to client sites within the Atlanta area and occasionally beyond.
